Simple Meat and Gravy

Meat, peas, corn and mashed potatoes covered in gravy on a plate.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp Better Than Bouillon mix
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 lb of stew meat

Directions:

  1. Add water to the slow cooker and mix in bullion and onion.
  2. Add stew meat.
  3. Add salt and pepper as wanted.
  4. Let cook for 4-6 hours.
  5. If you have an Instant Pot, cook meat for 10-15 minutes to soften the meat.
  6. Meat should be juicy and tender, the liquid can be used to make gravy.

We often serve these with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a selection of vegetables.
