We're Back

It's been 3 years since our last post. Prior to the hiatus we finished off with a wrap up on Kelli's weight loss journey (update she has maintained that final weight for 4 years now), announcing our little book, and discussing our journey out of the LDS (mormon) church and into mainstream Christianity.

Over the last 3 years we have been figuring out a lot. Where we fit into the world of all the various Christian denominations (answer, we like a lot of them). Kelli has been working for the first time in many years. Nathan is learning how to be a stay at home dad. And generally we have been continuing to work on our marriage (using the strategies we talked about previously - and realizing that focusing on God makes those strategies even more effective).

Well, this website is back, sort of. Leaving mormonism and starting to really understand what the bible teaches helped our marriage even more than the specific ideas we talked about previously. So we are going to be posting various posts about how we study the bible, how we run our little church, why we decided to focus on a little home church, etc.

To be honest, we really don't know exactly what we will be writing about, all we know is that we will be doing more writing. For now, here are our current weekly bible study plans, we put a new one out every Saturday for the upcoming week.

The purpose of “The Couple Project” is to learn more about what makes a strong marriage or relationship. We share what we are learning, which ideas we are trying, and which ideas helped improve our relationship. We realize not everything that works for us will work for you, but we still hope you will find our journey valuable.
