About Us

We are Kelli and Nathan… or Nathan and Kelli, either order is fine ... :-)

This website is a place for us to share our challenges, share our successes and failures, and to explore new ideas. We will be focusing on the following topics:

Self Improvement. We both have a belief that this life doesn’t end at death. We both believe that the only things that come with us after death is our faith, who we have become, and our family and friends. As a result we don’t ever want to coast through life, we want to continue to improve, we don’t want our relationships to stagnate, we want to build those relationships until our last breath. This website is an attempt to put more focus on these things, to examine ourselves more closely, and to hopefully help others in the process.

Strong Marriages and Relationships. A major challenge in our life, but also one of the most rewarding, has been our relationship. Marriage is difficult. Healthy relationships are difficult. They require time, patience, and a lot more. But like most things - you get out what you put in. We will try to help you better understand each other and find ways to help things go a little smoother.

Financial Independence. We think a good balance of work, worship, and play is the secret to a full life. A person’s financial health is one of the most common stumbling blocks to being able to create this balance. Our website is an attempt to explore ideas and solutions to this challenge. This website is also a means to increase our financial independence so please support us by turning off your ad blockers, subscribe to our newsletter, or sending us feedback and questions about our articles.

The purpose of “The Couple Project” is to learn more about what makes a strong marriage or relationship. We share what we are learning, which ideas we are trying, and which ideas helped improve our relationship. We realize not everything that works for us will work for you, but we still hope you will find our journey valuable.
